Il match per il titolo Mondiale di dama vedrà il livornese Michele Borghetti, 40 anni, nella veste di sfidante contro il detentore del titolo, Alex Moiseyev, statunitense di origine russa, campione del mondo ormai da una dozzina di anni. L’assessore Bettini ha portato il saluto del sindaco Alessandro Cosimi e ha dato il benvenuto ufficiale della cittadinanza, ricordando che la cerimonia ufficiale di inaugurazione si terrà lunedì 24 giugno mentre la prima partita verrà giocata martedì 25 con inizio alle 9.
